Web Site Upgrade
While it looks very similar to the original site, I hope you’ll enjoy the streamlined functionality of the new WordPress site. I’ve added Educational Resources and InfoGraphics from a variety of authoritative sources. Since I was raised in the same crazy world as you, I want to be clear that I do not have all the answers. There are many well-respected people and organizations that have been studying relationship dynamics and the psychology of relationships for years who have reached a consensus regarding what’s healthy. It’s up to each of us to seek out this information and evaluate all of our relationships regularly in order to cultivate the healthy relationships we want in our lives.
Empath Coaching
In the last ten years, I’ve had the good fortune of connecting with many Empaths in person and online. I’ve been fascinated to learn that we all have many of the same kinds of experiences, challenges, and questions as we move through the different stages of being an Empath. I’ve enjoyed connecting and sharing my experience; and I know that many of the people I interact with benefit from it. Some might pick up a new tip or trick, some might see a shift in their perspective, and others are just glad to meet someone who “gets” them.
It fills me with joy when I feel like I’m helping others, and it doesn’t get any better than supporting my sisters and brothers who feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or even just alone, like I did. So, I decided to test the waters with a new Empath Coaching service. I don’t know how much demand there is for this kind of thing, but if you need someone to talk to, I am here for you. <3
Future Plans
I’m taking the plunge here, going “all in” on ideas and dreams I’ve had for years. These projects have all be started and put on hold for one reason or another. In each case, I need some level of help, cooperation or collaboration. Please contact me if you think you may be of any assistance.
Children’s Story
I’ve written an early reader story that’s meant to educate young children about healthy relationships. The story is complete with detailed descriptions of the illustrations needed, but I am not an artist. I would like to collaborate with an illustrator who can depict the life of a puppy as she searches for the perfect, healthy home. Please contact me if you’d like to learn more about this project.
Women’s Retreat
“Dispelling The Myths About You” is the name of the 7-day women’s retreat program I’ve written. It involves discussion, activities and self care, and can be shortened to 3 days. It’s designed to demonstrate misconceptions participants have about themselves, showing them that they are strong, capable, creative, beautiful, lovable, etc. I need a location that allows for outdoors activities and I would also like to talk to someone who’s done something like this before. There are so many variables and I know someone with experience will have data regarding the optimal numbers of days and participants. Please contact me if you can help with this project.
Global Unity Summit
This is the project I was working on when I left my husband in 2007. I had to abandon it at that time, but you can see the web site I created (in five languages) for it here. The idea is to gather social leaders to discuss solutions to social problems that could be implemented without government control. By “social leaders” I mean socially conscious influencers, activists, celebrities, and personalities with a large social following. When the Summit is concluded, the goal is for these leaders to take a unified message and action plan back to their followers to create a wave of social change that’s too big to stop.
In 2007, I was engaged in discussions with a contact in Guatemala which was to the be the location of the physical Summit. Today, there is no need for a physical location. The entire Summit could be done online. What I need for this project is to connect with social leaders from around the world, and it would be very helpful to speak with someone who has put on an event of this magnitude. I know it looks like I’ve been out of action for a while. I’ve actually been doing a tremendous amount of healing and now I’m ready to turn and face the world again. I hope you’ll join me in doing whatever we can to reshape the world from the ground up. 🙂
